WOW.

We made it to 2022. I'm amazed.

Now, its not like I was doubting us, but if you are like me, you had some pale-knuckle moments in 2021. And I know so many people (myself included) who had days that were just so bad that it was hard to figure out what to do next. If you made it through a day like that, or helped someone else through a day like that, or even if you just gave a woman at the supermarket who was having a day like that a wide berth, thanks. We all thank you. You rock.

Now that we're at the start of a new calendar year, I am hoping that we all can start a new and more joyful spiritual year too. I am NOT a fan of New Year's Resolutions. (In fact I am just being nice by saying that because I actually think they suck - they put icky pressure on us and often set us on a path to failure instead of one to rowdy, badass levels of joy.) BUT I am all about harnessing this time of newness and potential to check in and envision what's important to us for the months ahead. I do that in a bunch of ways, but one of my favorites is making vision boards like the ones below - for some reason, assembling images that make me feel good really helps me shine a light on what my subconscious is saying. Its also a no-pressure activity, which is what I need during these long evenings when it is cold.

Surreal collage featuring fox, vintage map, and fashion elements.
Artistic collage featuring white tiger amid colorful fantasy elements.
Vintage collage artwork featuring bright sunburst rays and retro Asian-inspired design elements.

Lux et Umbra has some super offerings coming up this year to help you illuminate - yourself, your vision, your world. I'm excited to share them with you. in the meantime, stay warm, healthy, and full of light.

LYWDS (love your whole damn self),
